Vacation was drawing to a close, and soon the guys would have to be back in Fandom to start another school year. Clearly, there was only one thing to do, and that was eat lobster. Lots of it. With butter.

This had been accomplished, and now they were walking back toward the B&B. It was a nice evening for a walk, Steve thought. And it would probably do Tony some good.

"Nom du chien! Your insolence is insupportable-- insufferable!! For zat you shall pay un mille fois!" Batroc shouted, picking himself back up to try again.

"Is he speaking Russian?" Tony asked, pulling out his phone to film this.

"I have difficulty believing he's even speaking French."

Nathan did not have a phone to film this with. Nathan still hadn't come to the brilliant realization that phones could film things. He was going to just lean himself back so that he was half-sitting against a fire hydrant, and he was going to pay close attention to every glorious moment.

He wasn't even sorry that he was letting Steve deal with this one pretty much on his own. The view was better from over here, anyhow.

Lazily, Tyler swung a leg up to try to kick Batroc hard in the chest. "He's speaking retard."

"Language," Steve reminded Tyler, aiming a kick at Batroc's knee, followed by a jab to the face.

"Mon dieu!" Batroc replied because the 'OOF' wasn't enough at the kicks. "Ah weell nev~air be takeen down by zee likes of you!"

"I'll edit that out for the YouTube upload," Tony promised them both.

"And what is that in English?" Nathan asked, glancing at Tony with an eyebrow raised.

Because now was absolutely the time to be asking about the world's biggest provider of viral video. Yes.

It was really a pity Tyler was engaged in trying to kick the Leapair back into that parked car. Otherwise, he would have explained that YouTube was a place for people to post videos of their cats sneezing and clips of Very Special sitcom episodes.

"Thanks for helping, guys," he goaded instead.

"Nathan has a bye," Steve reminded him, moving back to ready and waiting for Batroc's next move.

He was sure it would be annoying, whatever it was.

"You're both doing so well on your own," Tony insisted, moving for a better angle.

Batroc did the unthinkable and leapt up onto his feet to try kicking Tyler this time.

"Ah weel 'ave you know, ah ahm très formidable!"

"Somehow, you're missing something in the translation," Nathan noted, biting the inside of his cheek and trying not to grin too much. It was a challenge. "I think perhaps the pencil moustache throws off the whole formidable look."

Or all of that purple.

Or possibly the goggles.

Tyler gave Nathan and Tony a dirty look, bye or no bye, and tried to punch Baltroc away. "Tres, tres, tres formidable," he agreed wearily. "Can you just get lost?"

Tyler was really new here, huh? "Not really how it works, Tyler," Steve told him. "He robbed a bank." They had to beat him up until the cops got here!

...this town did have cops, right?

Tony sighed. "Can't you call your version of SHIELD?"

Batroc went down like a punk, cursing in something that might have been Polish or badly mangled French. "Ah 'ave cleverly deestracted zem!"

"He tied eyepatch guy to the railroad tracks," Nathan decided. "That's how that sort of distraction usually goes, isn't it?"

He was being helpful. Honest.

"Maybe he" -- punch, kick, could Baldroc go try to beat Steve up now please? -- "sent a bunch of kittens up trees for the cops to rescue."

"Ah would nev~air," Batroc insisted, for some reason choosing to attack Steve instead of Tyler for that comment. It made sense in French!

"A keety cat ez no--'ow do you say--eet eez adorible!"

"It wouldn't be the most ridiculous thing you've done," Steve said, closing the distance between them for a jab-kick-roundhouse combination. "And you know it."

Somewhere through that, apparently Nathan saw an opening to assist.

Which, naturally, meant that he had wound up Steve's shirt some, and was going to proceed to snap it at Batroc's rear like a wet towel in a locker room.

There. He'd helped.

He did! Especially since Tyler managed to grab the shirt by one sleeve and twist it into a rope.

Poor Steve's shirt. It was now being used to lasso around ze leapair's arms in an attempt to restrain him with a firm knot.

"Zut alors!" Because that was helpful. "Thees eez not zee last time you veel see me!"

"This is not what I gave you my shirt for," Steve complained.

Then from behind him, he heard someone say, "WE'll take it from here, citizen." He steeled himself for what he would find, because seriously, who called people citizen, and turned.

To find a group of costumed people led by a man dressed as a lobster striking what he was sure they thought were heroic poses. He sighed, resigned. "You're those Initiative guys, aren't you?"
