Office Hours, All Day Friday

Steve spent Friday in his office alternating between sketching and attempting to interact with his computer, as was his wont, available in case anyone wanted to speak to him for any reason. He managed to make his computer print out a copy of the Montreal Canadiens' schedule for the month, which made him very proud of himself, until he realized he owed Jean-Paul more beer the next day.

Peter needed a teacher to help him with something, so he went to the teacher that he figured was probably most trustworthy. Really, though, he just found the idea of Captain America helping with the freedom of the press to be amusing.

He knocked on the door.

"Come in," Steve called, glancing up from his sketch.

"Hi, Mr Rogers," Peter said, stepping inside. "Do you have a minute?"

"Why, hello, Peter," Steve said with a smile. "Of course I do. Have a seat, what can I help you with?"

"Thanks," Peter said, sitting down. "I'm running the Fandom Hightimes newspaper this year and the teacher I had talked to about being faculty sponsor is gone, so I kind of need a teacher to fill that role. I was hoping you might be interested."

"I'd be honored!" Steve said brightly. "I'm sorry your former sponsor didn't work out."

"So am I," Peter said. "It was going to be Silent Bob. That would have been entertaining."

"Anyway, thank you, sir. You're free to write an Op/Ed piece whenever you want, of course. That's a sponsor's right."

"I'm not much of a writer," Steve said. "Maybe a cartoon...?"

Peter found it a little hard to believe that this guy couldn't find some words to say to people. He was CAPTAIN AMERICA. But he was willing to let that pass for now. "Any time you want a cartoon, I'll find room for it, sir."

Oh, Steve could speechify like crazy. He just wasn't sure he could write. And yes, he knew that writing was speechifying on paper. "Thank you. If there's anything the paper needs that I can help with, let me know."
