Office Hours, During Classes Thursday

Steve was in his office for his usual office hours, quietly worrying about the lack of news from back home while planning something big for the final class of the session.

There were plenty of people Friday didn't remember from his time in Fandom as a young boy. Steve Rogers, his erstwhile babysitter, wasn't one of those people. He remembered the residents of 33 Apocalypse Avenue quite well considering he'd only been four at the time and couldn't resist at least stopping in to see if Steve really was as enormous as he'd remembered. Plus, Mum had said to stop in and say hello. Even with a timestream, ocean and six years between them, it was hard to argue when your mum insisted.

It took a lot of procrastinating and 'getting lost', but he finally made it and peeked inside.

Steve was probably not quite as enormous as Friday remembered, but he was still pretty enormous. He also happened to glance up from lesson-planning in time to catch Friday peeking in. "Hello," he said with a grin. "I don't think you're in my workshop, are you?"

He shook his head. Not quite as enormous, but definitely still pretty enormous. "No, m'not." Friday was giving him one of those odd looks that someone gives someone familiar, but isn't quite sure how to act around them. "Sorry, you used to know my mum. Thursday Next?"

Ah, yes, Steve knew that look well. "Oh yes, Thursday! How is she doing? Come in, come in. I didn't know she had an older son."

"She's good. Really good." He took the invitation and walked into the office a few steps. "Only the one son though. And a daughter."

Steve blinked. "My God, Friday? You grew up!"

Friday broke into a grin. "I know, weird, isn't it? Unfortunate side effect of living life one second at a time. Sam Winchester told me it was only a few months since we left. That's weird."

"Yes," Steve agreed. "Yes, it is. How have you been?"

"Good, I guess. I'm here, which wasn't altogether expected, but it's been okay. Er, you?"

"Still here," Steve said with a shrug. "As expected. Waiting on the world to change."
