MCA #9, Saturday Evening
Jan. 16th, 2010 09:26 pmSteve woke up Saturday morning from a dream of his childhood, which was explained when he got out of bed and found that the heat really had been cut off, along with the power. And it was snowing like mad outside. Brief investigation revealed that it wasn't just his place, it was everywhere, so he'd opted not to go running, and instead had dragged out the emergency candles and stayed in. Sure, it was cold, but he'd been colder, not even counting the fifty-plus years he'd spent literally frozen.
So Steve was happily spending the evening alternately reading and drawing by candlelight, with no idea that elsewhere on the island something was terribly wrong. He had no complaints.
((Open if anyone wants to visit!))
